Jason Mraz tour maps fall concert dates across North America. Laid-back songster Jason Mraz has unveiled his latest tour plans for the United States and Canada through out 2010 and possibly 2011.
The 20-date itinerary will cross from coast to coast and includes a couple appearances at festivals and other special events. The fall tour launches September 11 along the Waterfront in Bangor, ME, and continues for at least a month, with a final date currently set for October 8 at the Bowl in Santa Barbara, CA.

Along the way, Jason Mraz is scheduled to perform on September 12 at the Life Is Good Festival in Canton, MA; September 21 at Peace Center Concert Hall in Greenville, SC; and September 29 at Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus, OH.

Mraz's previous tour ventures across North American include a spring 2009 tour leg, followed closely by a round of summer 2009 concerts and a fall 2009 tour leg.

Jason Mraz Announces Full Dates for New Tour :

Jason Mraz will start his new tour, the “Gratitude Café Tour,” in support of his third album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things., which went platinum last year, and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

A statement released on JasonMraz.com says: “The tour is a way of giving back to all of the fans who have supported Jason through the years. It’s going to be a giant celebration!”

The tour starts on July 25 in Columbia, Maryland at the Merriweather Post Pavillion. It will end on August 30 in Fresno, California’s Save Mart Center. During two of the dates, Mraz will open for the Dave Matthews Band.

G. Love & Special Sauce, K Naan, and Bushwalla will be opening up for Mraz on the “Gratitude Café” dates.

Mraz’s first single off the album, “I’m Yours,” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Jason Mraz has mapped dates for a summer tour as he continues to back his latest studio album, last year's platinum-selling "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things."
The singer/songwriter kicks off the outing, dubbed the "Gratitude Cafe Tour," July 25 in Columbia, MD, one night after appearing with the Dave Matthews Band in Hershey, PA. G. Love & Special Sauce will serve as Mraz's special guests on the trek, which runs through the end of August. Mraz will cap things off with another DMB connection, this time on Aug. 30 in Fresno, CA. Mraz continues to support his third studio album, "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 after surfacing in May last year. The lead single, "I'm Yours," peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The album--Mraz's first set of all-new material since 2005's "Mr. A-Z"--was produced by Martin Terefe (KT Tunstall, Ron Sexsmith), and includes collaborations with British tunesmith James Morrison and singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat. Jason Mraz Biography (Brief) :

Jason Mraz hails from Mechanicsville, VA, where the singer/songwriter grew up amidst the sounds of the Dave Matthews Band and local roots musicians the Agents of Good Roots. However, it was Jason Mraz's interest and participation in musical theater that served as his first introduction to music. Following high school, he moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, but dropped out a year later when he took up the guitar and began to focus on songwriting. Nonetheless, Mraz's training as a vocalist would later show itself on his debut album, which was marked by the pure clarity and range of his tenor range.

After busking around New York, Mraz eventually returned to Virginia; in 1999, however, he made his way out West and settled in San Diego, CA, having been drawn to the city's coffeehouse scene and historical support of singer/songwriters, most notably Jewel. Mraz began playing shows and soon landed a weekly residency at the local hot spot Java Joe's, which had previously played host to Jewel during the early stages of her career. He also formed a duo with drummer Noel "Toca" Rivera, who accompanied Mraz's acoustic material by banging the djembe. Together, the musicians honed a live show that featured as much comedic banter as actual music.

Over the next two years, Jason Mraz's following expanded outside of the San Diego limits and began to encompass Los Angeles, garnering the attention of record labels. Mraz signed to Elektra Records in early 2002 and returned to Virginia to write and record his debut album, a project that saw him working with producer John Alagía (the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer) and his high school heroes, the Agents of Good Roots, who became his backing band. The resulting effort, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, was released that same November, blending Mraz's early influences with elements of country, roots rock, and coffeehouse folk. The buoyant first single "Remedy [I Won't Worry which Mraz had co-written with pop hitmakers the Matrix, proved to be a big hit, and Jason Mraz headed out on the road to support it. One of those shows, an October 2003 date at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, was later documented on Mraz's summer 2004 live release Tonight, Not Again, The album tided his fans over until July 2005, when the songwriter returned with the sophomore studio effort Mr. A-Z. Mraz's popularity reached a new high in 2008 with the release of We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, which peaked at number three and spawned his first chart-topping single, "I'm Yours."
